This comic strip is not political in any way, I have my own personal political philosophy but I choose not to use these characters to push that philosophy so I was kind of reluctant to do this particular strip but in the end I thought it was funny so I went with it.
That said, this is not the place to argue for or against Trump, there are lots of other places out there that you can do that and I simply do not want to deal with people screaming at each other here. There? There is good. Here? Not so good.
This particular comic isn’t taking a stand for Trump or against Trump, it’s about the way the majority of music critics went off the wall in the 2000′s giving adequate music major league push because it happened to be insulting to someone they wanted insulted. I got suckered into buying a few albums because of the praise and pretty quickly realized I’d been lied to.
It’s going to happen again; Musicians will attack Trump, some will be good, some will be bad, ALL will be praised as if it was good. A sucker like me will buy a bad album expecting greatness and eventually become so disillusioned he’ll spend six to seven years mocking music critics.
I applaud your restraint and have a greater respect for you as a cartoonist for making the statement. Thank you.
Some of the comics I read will periodically be used as a platform to express its creator’s personal political opinion of the moment, which is fine since it is their comic, but honestly, I consider it a detriment to their body of work unless that is more or less the point of it to begin with, which rarely seems to be the [stated] case. I’m not saying that artistic integrity is necessarily easy to maintain, but I appreciate it when I see it.
And now, for the more relevant comment: Rick Dodge for Congress!

So it’s not all doom and gloom then!
Thanks for reading,

Great comic, short and sweet.
